how could you not fall in love with boon? we're speaking now, of course, about that wiggly-waggly, frisbee-toting, always smiling, black-and-white four-legged guy with the hybrid vigor (i.e., mutt). if you're wondering how the name came to be (see also definition of word at bottom of page), it's because of how blessed we feel to have a peach of a dog like this guy - and we believe in focusing on blessings, gifts and benefits. we hope our hotel - and the dog who came before it - are a boon to you.

canine code of ethics

1. friendly, well-behaved dogs are always welcome. if your dog does not fit this description (for instance, s/he barks continuously when left alone or s/he is dog or person-aggressive), we ask that you please leave him/her at home and find doggie care there.
2. there is a two dog maximum per room (70 lb max).
3. we are in the woods near water and there are ticks and mosquitoes here. please use tick and mosquito repellant to protect your dog from insect-borne diseases. if you do not have any of the above, please let us know. we have both available for sale.
4. dog owners are responsible for any damage.
5. dogs must be attended at all times. if their person leaves the property, dogs must be taken along and not left unattended in the room. quiet dogs can stay in their rooms if their person is still on the property.
6. we will provide an extra cover to be placed on top of the bed at all times.
7. no dogs in the pool area (resident dog is exempt from this rule at times).
8. please clean up dog litter. we have biodegradable dog litter bags available upon request.
9. finally, common sense dog care is the best policy.
